My name is Melissa Sinding. I have been a jewelry designer for about 8 years now. I am self taught and absolutely love my job. My husband and I live in are just in the process of relocating back to our beloved hometown of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

I don't know how I get inspired. I know you are supposed to say you are inspired by nature or art or the like but I guess I am not that intuitive. I just have alot of fun. I like to work with any medium that catches me at the moment. I've used tree bark, fabric, all types of metal, clay, old pots, ceramics, stuff I find on the ground - you name it. I love using liquid resin to capture things. It makes me feel a little like a mad scientist, or maybe like Darth Vader encasing Han Solo in carbonite.

I am pleased to say I was accepted into the Makers' Market this summer season to do markets during the Art Crawl and Super Crawl in Hamilton.  I also have items in the coolest store in Canada called Symmetry Home and Life in Elora, Ontario. owned and operated by a professional interior decorator Cathi Bastien.

I have sold in stores in Germany, Ireland and Canada. I have done markets and shows in Austria and the Netherlands.  I have also been featured in The Hamilton Spectator, and had pieces worn by actors in plays.

I would like to get more into the teaching side. If you live in the area and would like to learn a technique please get in touch. I often work for wine. Soon I hope to have a series of instructional videos on Craftsy and YouTube.

I will make items to order, and many of my current offerings can be altered to suit. I am open minded to bartering as well.

You can also find me on Etsy, Dawanda, Artfire, Craftsy, Facebook, Twitter, Blog Spot, Google+ and Indiepublic.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my website.
